6TH TIME LUCKY?

Can you believe it?

Last night at 9.30 pm we signed our 6th contract  !!!!!!

Today at 5 pm our 5th contract expires, and,  as we already know, he can't get the finance.  So, the new contract will come into effect this afternoon.

And the best thing?  It's for a lot more money, so if the gods are smiling, THIS contract will go unconditional end of next week.

Please, please...PLEASE go unconditional next week.

Today:  off to the Doctor's for probably my last psychologist visit.

After that, home to do bugger all hopefully.

TERIYAKI CHICKEN:

Into a big bowl put:

- 1/2 cup Teriyaki Marinade/Sauce

- 2 Tablespoons Oil

- 1 Teaspoon ground ginger powder

- 2 Teaspoons granulated garlic (or 2 cloves crushed)

- 2 Tablespoons of sherry (your choice)

- 2 Tablespoons of honey

- 1/2 teaspoon 5 spice powder

Give it a stir,  then add 2 kilos of Chicken nibbles.  Mix the chicken around to coat it with the sauce.

Place in fridge and let it marinate for a few hours... stir it a few times if you can.

Pour the whole lot into a deep frying pan and slowly cook until the liquid is a thick sticky sauce.  (approx 45 minutes).

Serve with rice and anything else that takes ya fancy.

I always serve with rice and garlic bread.

Very sticky... very yummy.

ABOVE:  the marinade I use.

ONWARD...

ABOVE:  Helen, these are Tegel Chicken Nibbles.

3.48 pm:  and it's been a good day.  My Dr's appointment went well... making some good changes with how I deal with stress.

Went to the supermarket and got some meat for dinner.

Got Subway for lunch, which was really yum.

Watched some TV.  NOT watching the clock today... first time EVER I WANT a contract to fall over!

AND FALL OVER IT DID!  First time that's made me happy!
Now we can concentrate on this new one, which hopefully will go unconditional end of next week.

AND there's at least 2 more buyers seriously interested too.  It will happen... it will!

So thankful it was not the stressful day I was expecting. Yaaa for that.

  2. 6th time has to be lucky-signed and unconditional next week is sounding very promising. The guy seeking finance doesn't deserve to own your home with all the stress he has put you through. That recipe sounds yum.

    1. They are just the small parts of a chicken, you can buy them at the supermarket. Wings, small drumsticks mostly. I will post a photo on the blog.

    2. Thanks. Now I know what to look for here in France. Himself will be sent out today to try and find the sauce.

  6. Good news. I am pretty sure the other guy won't get his finance, it should never take this long even for a non standard risk.

  7. Great news Chris, I'm very happy for you. I can't understand someone making an offer if they don't have finance organised already ??

  25. I seriously don't understand people who waste everyones time by going house hunting without having some finance arrangements in place BEFORE mucking people around with offers. I've always had preapproved finance (subject to a builders report and valuation) so as long as those two things come back ok, the finance has never been an issue. So frustrating when people decide to jump into signing contracts THEN go and see the bank, and probably have a shit show of ever getting the finance they needed in the first place.
