FRIGGIN FRIDAY... YA HOO

Looking forward to the weekend I can tell ya!

Saturday we are going out to Maraetai Beach to practise using our snorkels/masks/flippers...
then saturday night we have a 40th Birthday Party to go to in the city...Steve is going to babysit.  NICE.

Sunday we hope to go back to Goat Island Marine Reserve and swim with the fishes again.   Fingers crossed it's a nice day weather-wise.

As for today:  well I do believe Amanda, Andrew and Emily are visiting us again!  Isn't that lovely?  I can cluck over our adorable baby some more....

ONWARD...

ABOVE:  it's FINISHED.   I am happy with it... and I hope J likes it.

I will explain the words:

J and her husband have been trying to have a 2nd baby for about 4 years... they have been doing AI for about 12 months with no success, then on their last attempt the Fertility Clinic gave them a 'reduced fee' attempt at IVF.. they only had TWO viable embryo's.  This was going to be J's last attempt at getting pregnant as she turns 40 this week.... and the cost of fertility treatment every month was mounting up ...

IT WORKED!  They are two months pregnant and thrilled to bits of course.  Hence the wording of the picture I made them.  It took LOVE and FAITH for them to get this precious baby. (yeah and medical expertise!)

ABOVE:  the kids arrived... bub is doing so well... she feeds and sleeps like a wee trooper.   While she slept, we played cards.  What fun... turned a so-so day into a lovely day.

Kids are due home from school shortly... let the weekend commence!

End of day:  Having a lovely time, fed the family... playing cards some more... burping the baby...
DIET: oops
nite nite.

  1. Nice having a built in babysitter! I love that 2 out of 3 of my kids are old enough to stay home alone. Can't wait for the youngest lol.

Congratulations to J and her husband - that is a huge deal and I hope it goes well for them. It is so hard - I have a friend who tried for many years for her first and now has a beautiful baby girl, all she wants now is a sibling.

    Enjoy the party!

  8. That's a lovely thing you made for J. It's so colourful and pretty. I particularly like the lace "flower" with the crystal in the centre.
